“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble . . .” James 1:27a

            God made it quite clear in His word that the church needs to give attention to the needs of orphans.  A few years ago County Line decided to get serious about this calling and initiated ministries to address the needs we could meet.  We sponsor an Adoption Support meeting at the church which meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  The meeting is facilitated by representatives from APAC (Alabama Post Adoption Connection). 

             We also sponsor a student in the country of Moldova.  There are great challenges for the children as they leave the orphanage at around age 16.  We work through CERI (Children’s Emergency Relief International) to provide assistance for one child in making the transition from orphanage life into the community.  The kids are given financial assistance, mentoring, and training, as well as good Christian influence. 

            Each year we also provide Christmas presents for needy children in our area through our Angel Tree program.
